Players Needed
The Eltham Concert Band includes the following instruments:
- Oboes, Bassoons
- Flutes & Piccolo
- Treble and Bass Clarinets
- Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophone
- French Horns
- Trumpets
- Tuba and Euphonium
- Trombones
- String Bass
- Percussion
We are looking for new players, and currently have vacancies for:
- Percussion
- Trumpet
- String Bass
- French Horn
- Clarinets
- Baritone Sax
- Oboe
The band rehearses every Monday night during school term, and we invite those who are interested in joining the band to come along to see if the band suits them and they suit the band.To avoid clashes with final rehearsals before concerts, prospective members are asked to contact a committee member to find a suitable time.
Where Can You Find Us?
Eltham Concert Band is based in Eltham in the North East of Melbourne (Australia). We rehearse each Monday night of the school year at the Eltham Community Centre, Pitt Street, ELTHAM. This is the mud brick building down the hill from the Eltham Pub which is on the corner of Main Road and Pitt Street ELTHAM. Rehearsal start times are shown on the "rehearsal Schedule" page, and players are requested to ensure that they allow enough time to be ready to start playing then.
Membership
Members of the Band pay an annual subscription of $150 ($75 students or concession). This is adjusted on a pro rata basis for those joining later in the year.
There is an expectation that members will attend at least 75% of rehearsals.
