Rehearsal Schedule 2008
NOTE:- Rehearsal time is back again to 8:00 to 10:00.
- Please arrive in time to set up and be ready to start promptly.
Rehearsals are at the Eltham Community Centre unless noted otherwise. When we cannot rehearse at the hall, one common alternate venue is Diamond Valley College. This is on the main Hurstbridge Road, Melways ref 12 D5. You can use whereis.com and select the place (airport.. hospital) tab. Then in "places of Interest" select "Schools and Colleges" (under "Youth & Education", and type in "Diamond Creek" in Victoria for the location. You will be offered a choice when you press "Get Map" and you want "Diamond Valley College Diamond Creek Hurstbridge Road"..Yet another common rehearsal venue is Eltham North Hall.

| April 7th | Back for a normal rehearsal at the ECC |
| April 9th | A rehearsal for the Brass only at Eltham NorthHall. Please bring your own music stand |
| April 14th | Another ECC rehearsal, but with Peter waving the stick |
| April 21st | Another ECC rehearsal, with Eric for the second half |
| April 23rd | Rehearsal at Diamond Valley college for saxophones, bass clarinets and the bassoon. Bring your own music stand please. |
| April 28th | Sectional rehearsal at the ECC. Fred flutes & friends, Eric Euphonia etc. |
| May 5th | ECC rehearsal, Eric conducting, 2 soloists for the concert coming |
| May 7th | An extra Wednesday rehearsal at the Eltham North Hall. This is an extended rehearsal ending at 11:00. We will have soloists Amy (clarinet) and Max (Trombone). |
| May 12th | ECC rehearsal with the other two soloists. Jask (trumpet) and Hugh (mallets) |
| May 14th | An extra rehearsal at the Eltham North Hall. Run through of concert. All soloists will be present |
| May 17th | THE
CONCERT: Young & Talented. Before the concert: - Those assisting with set up, meet at Eltham North Hall at 2 pm. We will then set up the venue completely, including curtains carpets, lights. - All of the band (or as many as can make it) sound check at 4. This will go to 6 pm. - 6 pm break - Arrive back at hall no later than 7:30 After the concert. there will be a need to help get things cleared away and back to the ECC. |

| Jun 2nd | And on we go. Another ECC rehearsal |
| Jun 9th | No Rehearsal. Its some Queen's birthday. Shouldn't we play Bohemian Rhapsody again ? |
| Jun 16th | Good. We get to rhehearse again at the ECC, but not with Eric |
| Jun 23rd | Eric is back at the ECC. We'll tell him if last week was better |
| Long Gap | School Holidays again. |
| July 14th | Eric at he ECC. Will we all have practised during the break ? |
| July 21st | Split rehearsal. At the ECC. Its the Fred and Eric show. Or we hope it will be if they both are available. |
| July 28th | Rehearsal at the ECC with a VC. I think that's a Visiting Conductor. Could be a Vice Chancellor. If I mention Viet Cong it probably shows my age, so I won't. |
| Aug 4th | E at the ECC. (That's not a drug reference) |
| Aug 11th | E at the ECC starting LD2. Work it out for yourself, but last year we did a dancing concert. |
| Aug 18th | Mr. Eric Klay, by courtesy of the MSO will conduct us at the Eltham Community Centre |
| Aug 25th | Eric's away but we still get to play. A visiting conductor at the ECC |
| Sep 1 | Plain old rehearsal. Yep it's Eric and its the ECC |
| Sep 8 | Same as Sep 1. How many ways can you say it. Haven't you learned yet ? |
| Sep 15 | For the last rehearsal before the school holidays, we get a visiting conductor |
| Void | A long gap while the school kids are on holiday. There is a chance of an extra gig at Monash, in which case we may have a rehearsal on 29th Sept. Watch this space. |
| Oct 6 | Rehearsal with Soloists. Who are the soloists ? Come and See.. OK I think they are actually dancers. |
| Oct 13 | Soloists still at the rehearsal. Did they go home ? |
| Oct 18 | Lets Dance Concert |

| Oct 20 | A standard ECC rehearsal. Even though we just did a concert. |
| Oct 27 | Yet another rehearsal. Same time. Same Place. Same Eric |
| Nov 3 | Split rehearsal. That means its the good guys with Fred, while Eric has the ones who normally sit at the back. |
| Nov 10 | All together again. Normal ECC rehearsal |
| Nov 12 | Anne Extra. No That should be an extra rehearsal on a Wed. We are getting ready for the Eltham Festival |
| Nov 16 | Eltham Festival |
| Nov 17 | And back hard at it at the ECC on the Monday afterwards |
| Nov 24 | A Mystery Maestro will direct us musically |
